I personally haven't seen as many players in tyria as there were when chapter 1 came out for several months. A lot of people played during halloween and wintersday, but otherwise, since about september or october a lot of people are only in the main hubs (ascalon, lion's arch, drok's, denravi and amnoon to a lesser degree) and there are 1-2 sparsely populated districts in the rest of the towns. Maguuma is almost completely deserted anywhere I went and anytime I checked, except for denravi, which had a decent amount of districts and people in it. A lot of people stopped playing as often since they ran out of stuff to do, or went over to cantha since that came out, or want to skip as much of the game as possible to get ascended and get drok's armor and then farm things. Cantha will get that way too, so I guess in summary it's best to get on the bandwagon whenever a new game comes out for people who enjoy grouping with other players, since there will be less people to play with later on.

Dragon Festival is the drain at the moment. I just brought my Cantha mesmer over to Prophecies, did all the missions from Lion's Arch up to Thunderhead Keep with player groups. There were groups everywhere during prime time EST, even with the festival, didn't take me long to get in.

As for the extra point quests, you can hench both of them if you have to. I have with four other characters. But I doubt you'll have to.

The only time I found the the Maguuma busy was during the release of the game back in May to August 05 after that it declined.It is not call Boring Denrvi for nothing it has always been empty and there aren't to many solo farming spots.

Even if ch3 is better than factions or worst..it's killing tyria more, more they added STANDALONE expansions the more they are killing Tyria and Cantha, and adding greens like they did in Tyria to keep ppl connected to it doesn't help..ppl farm what they want and leave it again.

I for one am taking my sin over to tyria, assassinating things is fun, I also take my necro back to his homeland every now and then to give my flesh golem a run, watching the FG drop a devourer wiht 200+ damage is funny every time. Tyria will eventually fill back up, and please don't turn this into an Anet sucks no more chapters flame fest.

I'm pretty sure that if you go to the big hubs, ascalon city, droks, lions arch, that there will be a lot of people.
Just like kaineng, shing jea, hzh and cavalon.

Funny thing is that with each new addon chapter you get and merge your keys with you are effectively backpaying for old content that nobody wants anyway. Clever huh?

I've noticed that too. I would be doing a quest and the henchies just stand there. The enemies dont bug the henchies untill i die because i am the only thing acually attacking. Sometimes, the only way the henchies will fight is if A) i call the target or B) i die and then suddenly the henchies are like "wtf? he died? Y? o there are enemies nearby! Attack!" BTW they dont accually say that.That is just wat the henchies seem to be thinking. (just puttin taht in so someone isnt like "OMG ur stupid! henhcies dont talk!")

And even before factions there were someplaces taht no one was ever at. I cant emagine how many of those places there are now in tyria. They always happened to be mission places too... >_< Will the same happen to cantha, once chapter 3 comes out? I hope not... THe GW employe ppl should make henchies smarter at least so u can bring them with you and accually play the same way you would if you were in a player group. I sorta want to go back to tyria for a little, but the only thing preventing me is having to do hard missions with henchies, enspecially now that since aobut the start of the festival, they seem more useless tahn before...

OMG is it now impossible to get a good non-runer group in the desert missions? It was alredy hard for me to find a good non-runner group before factions... >_<

As for doing the atribute point quests, I never had trouble doing them, and i always did them with henchies, so as long as henchies get at least as smart as they were before, I dont see anyone haveing trouble with them.

Less population of GW in general due to more than half of online players spamming in WTB/WTS in large cities because the lack of auction house.Give them auction house then you will see more active players want to do quests and missions.

People who spam WTS and WTB all day aren't playing the game. They are either farmers, scammers or both.
An auction house would simply give them more time to play something else and check the auction once a day.
